Privacy Policy
Pip Hop keeps the minimum it needs to run a leaderboard: an ID, a display name and your scores. No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared.
What we store
When you post a score to the leaderboard (Classic, Daily, Rush and the daily crowns), our server stores:
- A player ID. In the iPhone app this is the ID Game Center gives Pip Hop for your account. On the website it is a random ID created in your browser.
- Your display name. In the app it comes from your Game Center name. On the website it is the name you type.
- Your scores and details about each run: mode, score, islands hopped, perfect landings, best combo, and the date.
- A one-way hash of your IP address, used only to limit spam and abuse. Your actual IP address is not stored.
- Name reports. If someone reports a name, we store that report so offensive names can be hidden.
What stays on your device
Your stats page, best scores, and settings (sound, haptics) are saved only on your phone or in your browser. They never leave your device.
How it’s used
Only to show leaderboards, run the Daily challenge and award crowns, prevent cheating, and keep names appropriate. We don’t use your data for advertising and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the website and leaderboard server.
- Apple Game Center handles sign-in in the iPhone app. Apple’s own privacy policy covers your Game Center account.
We don’t sell, rent or share your information with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Leaderboard entries stay for as long as the leaderboard runs, so past scores and crowns remain visible. Records of runs that were started but never posted are deleted after about a day.
Removing your data
Email hello@positiveppl.com with your leaderboard name, and say whether you play in the app or on the website. We’ll remove your entries within 30 days. To clear what’s stored on your device, delete the app or clear your browser’s site data.
Children
Pip Hop is a game for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has posted to the leaderboard, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the effective date above.
